Statement of Faith

Without Apology, We Believe:

  1. In the verbal, plenary inspiration of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.  (II Timothy 3:15-17)
  2. In the preservation of the original autographs through the Maesoretic Hebrew Text and the traditional Received Greek text (Textus Receptus), from which the King James Bible is derived. (Psalm 12:6-7)
  3. That the King James Translation is the best English Translation of the Bible.
  4. That God has manifested Himself in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (I John 5:7)
  5. That God created the world in six, literal twenty-four hour days. (Genesis 1:31-2:3)
  6. That all mankind is sinful, in need of salvation and unable to save himself. (Romans 3:10,23)
  7. That Christ died for the sins of all mankind and that salvation is by grace through faith alone, based on the finished work of Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 3:16; Romans 10:9-13)
  8. In the bodily resurrection of Christ and His bodily ascension into heaven, where He now intercedes for believers. (I Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 7:25)
  9. That man may choose to accept or resist the grace of God. (Acts 26:28)
  10. In the reality of heaven and hell. (Luke 16:22-24; Revelation 21-22)
  11. In the eternal security of the believer. (I Peter 1:5; John 10:27-30)
  12. That the two ordinances of the local church are baptism by immersion for believers only, and the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of Jesus body and blood. (Acts 2:41; I Corinthians 11:23-24)
  13. That the local church is God’s institution to carry out the great commission. (I Timothy 3:15; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-47)
  14. In the Pre-tribulation rapture of all believers. (I Thess. 4:13-18, 5:9; Revelation 4:1; John 14:3)
  15. In the millennial (1,000 year) reign of Jesus Christ on earth after the 7 year tribulation. (Revelation 20:4-6)
  16. In the judgment of believers at the Judgment Seat of Christ and the judgment of unbelievers at the Great White Throne. (II Corinthians 5:10; Romans 14:10; Revelation 20:11-15)
  17. In the obligation of every believer to live a holy life and to witness to the lost of the saving power of Jesus Christ.  (I Thessalonians 4:1,4; I Peter 1:15-16; Acts 1:8)
  18. That God is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts, and that the gifts of evangelist and pastor-teacher are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today. (Ephesians 4:7-13;       Romans 12:6-8)
  19. That speaking in tongues and the working of sign miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament Scriptures were completed and their authority became established. (I Cor. 13:8-10)
  20. That all forms of compromise with liberalism, ecumenicalism, or the charismatic movement should be avoided. (II Corinthians 6:14-18)
